This training is being presented by New Disaster Interfaith Services (NYDIS) and is intended to instruct New York City Disaster Case Management Supervisors and Disaster Case Managers (DCMs) in how to present cases to the NYC Sandy Unmet Needs Roundtable. The Roundtable is a city-wide source of cash assistance, loans and discounted/tax-free appliances and building supplies – regardless of immigration status. The Roundtable will meet regularly in each Borough – once trained, Brooklyn based DCMs may apply to have their cases heard at the Brooklyn sessions. This training is open to any disaster case manager from any agency. This training is a required before a DCM can apply to the Roundtable on behalf of their client’s unmet needs.
